Project Aries Orbital EMP Deployment
THINK ABOUTIT SUMMARY:
Project Aries: The “Star Wars” Weapon Against Alien Craft
Project/Group Name: Project Aries
Mission: To develop and deploy high-output electromagnetic pulse (EMP) and Van de Graaff generators as directional energy weapons.
Date Started: Early 1980s (Formalized under SDI in 1983). Ended: Classified (Reported as a foundational component of the current “Golden Dome” planetary defense grid).
Who or Whom Started It: Reagan Administration / Strategic Defense Initiative Organization (SDIO).
Part of what Government Agency: Department of Defense (DoD) under the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), with oversight from MJ-12.
Location: Various orbital platforms (satellite constellations) and high-altitude testing ranges.
Special Features/Characteristics:
- Dual-Purpose Weaponry: Officially marketed as a counter-missile defense system to disable Soviet electronics, but technically optimized for high-velocity, non-ballistic targets.
-
EMP Generation: Uses advanced Van de Graaff technology to create localized “electronic fry-zones” in space.
Summary/Description: Project Aries was a key sub-project of the “Star Wars” program. While the public focus was on “Brilliant Pebbles” (kinetic interceptors) and lasers, Aries focused on electromagnetic disruption. Research indicates that the weapon’s true intent was to provide a defense against IAVs (Identified Aerial Vehicles) or IACs (Identified Alien Craft). Unlike kinetic missiles, which struggle to hit craft with “gravity-defying” maneuverability, an EMP field or electromagnetic pulse generator creates an area-of-effect that can neutralize the flight systems of a craft regardless of its speed or trajectory.
Related to: Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), Project Aquarius (for target profiling), Brilliant Pebbles, and the Homing Overlay Experiment (HOE).
Source: M.W. (Internal Intelligence Leaks); SDIO Technical Briefings (1984-1988); Declassified Reagan UN Speech (1987) regarding the “alien threat” uniting the world.
Other Details: Aries wasn’t alone in the SDI arsenal. It worked in a layered defense alongside:
-
Brilliant Pebbles: Small, orbiting “smart” missiles.
-
Directed-Energy Weapons (DEW): X-ray and chemical lasers.
-
HOE: Kinetic kill vehicles that used a large, umbrella-like structure to destroy targets via physical collision.
“Officially the weapon is designed as a protection against incoming missiles. In reality, it is supposed to be a weapon against ‘IAV’s’ or ‘IAC’s’.”
