Among the many UFO shapes there appears to be several craft that have ‘wings’ or conform to our idea of what a winged craft would look like.
This unfortunately leads to some confusion as to what has actually been observed, reports that describe the craft as ‘Bird of prey’ or ‘Klingon Warship’ may be describing the same type of craft.
A Butterfly shaped craft however may be a different type, although it would still conform to a ‘winged craft’
A remarkable report was one from Italy, from a sighting in 1961.
A Scientific journalist was repairing a flat tyre on his car parallel to a beach near Pescara, when he noticed a strange metallic craft coming towards him from the ocean.
He managed to take a photo of the craft before it made a sharp turn and slowly flew off to the north.

I was approximately 16 years old when I saw this craft. I am now 43 years old and can see this in my mind as clearly as if it happened only 5 minutes ago. We were coming back from a camping trip at Crystal Lake. I was in the back of our family station wagon when I looked up and saw what looked like a giant bird flying approximately 1 – 200 feet up and to the west of our car, just below the top of the mountains and seemed to be going the same speed and direction as us. This was now what I call “bird of prey shape.” The color of the craft was dull green.
What it reminded me of in regards to color was that of copper when it tarnishes. The shape was very close to that of the “bird of prey” seen on Star Trek. I am aware that this was a long time ago, but I would like to know if anyone else has even seen anything shaped like this?

A close range sighting of a craft with angled down swept forward wings,with a larger central body.
It had one large red light on the bottom of the central portion of the craft,and two smaller greenish/blue lights per wing, it seemed to defy all know physics.
I was coming home on the sawgrass with a girl friend around 9.30 PM heading north,approaching the big bend which heads due east,the highway rests alongside the Everglades.
I noticed a strange light approaching out of the east. Descending rapidly from a few thousand feet,down to barely a hundred feet. The craft stopped directly over the big bend in the highway,at which point I was able to get an excellent view of a very unconventional craft.
It remained stationary only for a second as it seemed to spin on a dime towards the direction which it came. Then the craft leisurely accelerated off towards the East. When the craft spun around it was easily within two hundred feet of us. There was no jet blast or any other sound, it was silent.
The closest comparison of the craft I can make,is that it resembled a ‘klingon warbird’ it had a slightly angled down swept forward wings,and the main central body approximately 30 to 40 feet in length. It had one central red light,and two bluish/green lights per wing.
It resembled no know conventional craft in shape,or its unnatural flying ability, I was able to follow the crafts smooth yet erratic course for several minutes as we traveled down the highway,before we lost sight of it.
Note: two double bladed military helicopters seemed to be attempting to follow the craft. They passed directly over my vehicle a few miles down the road. Whether it was a top secret military craft with uncanny maneuverability,or an alien spaceship ,it doesn’t seem to resemble any previous UFO report I’m familiar with…. strange.
