A violent electrical storm was lighting up the night sky, and, in order to get a better look at the lightening strikes, Andrew Swan drove to a vantage point beside the playing fields at Armadale Academy, a secondary school a few minutes journey time away.
Parking his Audi coupe beside the football pitch Andy, a cable-layer with Scottish Power, caught sight of a large object hovering behind a row of trees a few hundred yards opposite. He noted that the UFO was pyramid-shaped and saw the time on his watch was 11.45pm.
Andy later commented: ‘I thought it was going to crash’. But the object made no attempt to move and hung motionless as if suspended on a thread in mid air. Puzzles, but intrigued, Andy jumped back into the drivers seat and followed the road which took him to a viewpoint on the far side of the mysterious visitor. As he cruised along the route, however, either the UFO he had been watching or a second object flew down low at head height, almost seeming to scrape the roof of his car. The UFO halted abruptly and Andy did an emergency stop.
Standing at the roadside, Andy could clearly make out the UFO, shaped like an inverted pyramid, floating either just above or in front of a bing.(Coal shale hill) He estimated the object as being nearly 40 feet long. The standoff between the UFO and Andy continued for about 20 minutes, till Andy decided he would, literally, shed some more light on the problem. In his vehicle lay a powerful halogen spotlight and Andy reckoned that this could be put to good use without having to get closer to any possible danger.
Unfortunately for Andy, events didn’t work out quite as he had planned. As soon as the beam hit the UFO, the halogen bulb exploded. Andy took it as a definite signal that the object did not wish to be observed. As he started at the ‘dead’ spotlight, the exposed situation that he found himself in dawned on him. He was in the middle of nowhere with not another person in sight. It was high time he left the scene of his encounter.
Unfortunately for Andy, when he turned the ignition the car refused to start. Andy had already had the presence of mind to call the police, but had been frustrated by the delay in their arrival and had taken it on himself to shine the torch towards the UFO with the result described. Locked in an immobilized car, his nerves were stretched to breaking point. Then, as he renewed his efforts to get under way, the enigmatic object shot into the air and flew over him at breathtaking speed.

My brother, his friend and I saw an orange pyramid-shaped object in the sky about 25 yards away from us and about 25 yards up.
We were kids at the time, but my recollections are for the most part vivid. 1st Object: Estimated height was about 7 feet at the apex. The base was probably about 7×7 feet also. The object appeared solid and metallic. My younger brother and I insist the object was orange, but his friend believed it to be greenish. 2nd Object: Estimated diameter was about 1 foot. The sphere was red and appeared luminescent. The first object appeared above a neighbor’s house while we were standing on the sidewalk. It hovered above the house and some power lines.
The second object, a red sphere, came out of the object and descended about 10 feet below the first object. After the descent of the sphere, the pyramid object began to rise and move slowly toward the south-east. After traveling slowly for several hundred yards, it accelerated very quickly on its south-east path and disappeared. I can’t recall what happened to the red sphere. I was about 12, my brother 9 and his friend about 10. My brother was rated gifted and talented, I was an above average student, and his friend had problems with school work and discipline and had been held back a grade. We lived at ((address deleted)) Street, in Fountain Valley. Neither my brother nor I have had additional experiences of this nature. We do not maintain contact with my brother’s friend. I tell people occasionally about the events, while my brother chooses not to bring it up.

Pyramid-Shaped UFO Seen In Northern Chile From Virgilio Sanchez-Ocejo ufomiami@prodigy.net 10 Oct 2001
A gigantic UFO was seen at the beach of Cavancha, in the northern Chilean city of Iquique. The sighting took place on October 5th of 2001. The eyewitnesses were a taxi driver and two of his passengers.
They claimed that the UFO was about 300 yards long and shaped like a pyramid. Carlos, a local taxi driver, was on his way to drop off two passengers to the coastal city of Iquique. It was around 19:45 PM. He was driving on a highway that runs between the beach and the local airport. Suddenly, he saw what appeared to be some lights coming from the south side of the beach. He initially thought it was an airplane because of the proximity to the airport. Nevertheless, he was very surprised to see that the object got closer and closer, perhaps too close for any ordinary aircraft – as it hovered at about 1 kilometer from the highway. Carlos kept driving.
As he passed a curve, he was able to view the object form a slightly different angle. As he got even closer, he began to notice that around the object, it had red, yellow and green flashing lights, as well as a white light at the top. He also noticed that it was shaped like a giant pyramid. “It almost looked like a giant stealth bomber. However, this object was about 300 yards in length, so it was not a plane. As it got closer, I began to accelerate the car. Suddenly, a very bright light came out from the bottom of the object, illuminating the entire beach. It was scary; the light was so strong that we were able to see the waves in the ocean. When I turned to see my passengers, they were speechless. We were all astonished”, he said. The cab driver claimed that the sighting lasted about 20 minutes.
