Project Pounce is another UFO related project. Some sources consider Project Pounce to be an earlier version of Project Blue Book, though most researchers believe that Blue Book was only preceded by Sign Project and Project Grudge.
They are supported in this by the official documentation that is currently available (through FOIA etc.).
Then again, as Blue Book was nothing more than an overt PR exercise, it is probable that a real, yet covert, project would also have existed to investigate the UFO phenomenon.
According to M.W. Cooper, Project Pounce was more than that. He claims it also is the project formed to recover all downed or crashed craft and aliens. (Other sources describe a similar project, yet, call it Bluefly Project.)
Established in 1968. The mission of PROJECT POUNCE was to evaluate all UFO/IAC information pertaining to space technology.
The goal was to duplicate the technology and/or improve upon it.
Ultimate use of the technology would establish the United States as the dominant world power and close the gap in any confrontation with the aliens.
